2020-2021: George set a sleuth of top-five program times over a multitude of events, including a pair of top-five times in the men's 200-yard backstroke and the men's 200-yard individual medley. Gathered six top-five finishes in all of his events during C-N's home meet versus Wingate. Gathered a top-eight finish in the men's 200-yard backstroke at Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships with a time of 1:49.17. Finished top-20 in the men's 200-yard freestyle at the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championships with a time of 1:38.68.
2019-2020: In C-N's dual-meet against Wingate, George won the 500-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 4:38.05. He also finished first in the 200-yard freestyle and took second place in the 200-yard butterfly. On the opening day of competition at the Emory Invitational, George finished in second place in the 200-yard individual medley at a time of 1:54.82. George opened up the University of Tennessee Invitational in the 400-yard freestyle relay alongside Nikola Tadic, Chad Andoljsek and Andrei Ungur. The squad set a new school record with a time of 2:57.51, automatically qualifying them for nationals. On day three of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships, George won the 'B' final of the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 4:31.31.
2018-2019: The foursome of Andrei Ungur, Howell, Matthew George, and Nikola Tadic narrowly missed a first-place time in the event as the Wingate 'A' side held the advantage by .20 seconds vs. Wingate... his time in the 200-yard freestyle helped push the Eagles lead in Event 30 with a time of 1:43.30... finished third in the 200-yard IM in the Emory Invitational and then won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:52:89...George won the Men's 500-Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:26.90 vs. Lees-McRae. This puts George as the third fastest in Carson-Newman's history and eighth in the country for the year...George broke the school record for the 500 freestyle at the UT Invitational with a time of 4:26.51. In another program record-breaking performance, the men's 400 medley relay of Ungur, Howell, George and Chad Andoljsek in a time of 3:18.60. Had a season-best time in the 200-yard butterfly at 1:48.55... Won the 200-yard butterfly vs. Emmanuel... Grabbed two victories in the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.67) and 100-yard butterfly (51.49) vs. King... earned third in the 800 free relay with an NCAA provisional qualifier and season-low time by seven seconds of 6:36.58 at the BMC Championships with Jon Lancaster, Nikola Tadic and Marcelo Figueiredo. Collected his first individual All-BMC swim in his first season as an Eagle after turning in a fifth-place performance in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:38.75, nearly a full second faster than the preliminary swim. Placed sixth in the 200-yard butterfly, earning an All-BMC honor...George competed and finished in 13th place with a time of 4:28.37 in the 500 freestyle at the National Championships
