Bio
2020-2021: Charles racked up three top-five program times, including a pair of top times in the men's 1650-yard freestyle. Finished ninth in the men's 1000-yard freestyle at 2021 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships (9:32.61) as well as twelfth in the men's 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:39.28. Gathered a top-10 finish in the men's 200-yard butterfly at 2021 BMC Championships.
2019-2020: Charles started his season by taking sixth at the CSCAA Open Water National Championships. At the Blue vs. Orange Championships, Charles took home first in the 500-yard freestyle.
2018-2019: Finished in 11th place in the 1000 freestyle at 9:36.11 at the BMC Championships, 31 seconds faster than his previous time
2017-18: Earned a top-eight finish in the same event with a new career-best time of 9:36.28, nearly 17 seconds better than his prior top time. Competed in the CSCAA National Collegiate Open Water Championships. Carson-Newman would finish the race with three inside the top-20, with Casey Charles and Marcelo Figueiredo coming in behind Howell at 12th and 15th respectively. The Eagles held a total of 5 swimmers in the top-25 en route to finishing as the No. 1 D2 team in the country.
