2019-2020: Ungur made his season debut against Wingate in a dual-meet and was victorious in the 100-yard backstroke. The sophomore took home first place in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:51.96, good enough for 13th in the country. Ungur won his first Bluegrass Mountain Conference Male Swimmer of the Week award after his performance in C-N's home dual-meet against Lees-McRae College on Nov.16. Ungur swam the 50-yard butterfly section of the team's 200-yard medley relay and secured a season-best time. The underclassman also secured the fourth-fastest time in the nation in the 200-yard backstroke at the same event. On the first day of the UT Invitational, Ungur set a personal best with a 20.28. In C-N's regular season finale, Ungur placed first in the 100-yard backstroke in 48.77 and was second in the 200-yard backstroke. Ungur won the 100-yard backstroke 'A' final in 46.7, winning gold and All-Conference honors on the third day of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships.
