2023 All-SAC Third Team
2023 (Freshman): Wester burst onto the scene as a freshman, making 16 starts and earning All-SAC Third Team honors. He scored his first career goal in the final seconds of the 3-0 win versus Emory & Henry on Sept 20. His second and final goal came as the finishing touches on a 3-1 comeback victory versus Tusculum on Nov 1. Both goals he scored in his freshman season were scored in the final minute of the game. He played in 16 of the 17 games, with 14 starts. Wester managed 17 shots, five on target.

Carson-Newman men's soccer's Ben Dukes and Maxime Wester were named to the South Atlantic Conference third team, the conference announced earlier today.
In the South Atlantic Conference quarterfinals, top-seeded Wingate scored a first half goal and pitched a shutout to take down Carson-Newman on Saturday afternoon at the Wingate Soccer Complex.
Scoring three goals in the final 24 minutes, Carson-Newman (5-6-5, 3-5-3) battled back to defeat in-state rival Tusculum to secure a spot in the South Atlantic Conference tournament.
A game that finished 46 days later than its originally start date ended with the same result from when it was postponed, Anderson (6-4-3, 4-2-3) 1 and Carson-Newman (4-5-5, 2-4-3) 0.
After allowing an early goal, Carson-Newman (4-4-5) responded well and battled Lee (7-3-2) to a 1-1 tie at McCown Field in a non-conference matchup Monday night.
For just the third time in the last nine meetings, Lincoln Memorial (8-2-2, 4-2-1) defeats Carson-Newman (4-4-3, 2-3-2) on Wednesday afternoon at the LMU Soccer Complex by a final score of 1-0.
