Bio
Steadman Bell is in his first year as Carson-Newman's A-Backs coach. He joined the staff in January 2026.
Bell returns to the college game for the first time in a decade – he was an assistant coach at Vanderbilt in 2016.
He spent the last three years as the head coach at Clarksville Academy.
That gig followed a successful run as an assistant football coach for Nashville Christian School. While at NCS, he saw two state championship games and went to the semifinals of the playoff four times. Prior to coaching at NCS, Bell was part of the coaching staff at Dickson County High School, his high school alma mater.
Bell graduated from Langston University with a BS in Health Physical Education, Recreation Wellness. He was a wide receiver and long snapper for the Lions.
