HIGH SCHOOL: As is the case with anyone who graduates from Alcoa, Turner helped keep the Tornados state title streak alive, winning four straight for coach Brian Nix to help the program to 10 consecutive. He earned all-state honors as a senior and was the 3A-Region 2 Defensive Player of the Year.
PERSONAL: The son Jamarcus Turner and Ariel Jones, he plans to study education at Carson-Newman.
