HIGH SCHOOL: The captain of Buckhorn High School's defense, Pitts was a 6A Region 8 first team selection and a member of the Huntsville Times All-Region team. He helped Buckhorn to back-to-back playoff appearances. A four-time defensive player of the week award winner and the winner of the Kyler Scott Lineman of the Year award, Pitts tallied 57 tackles, 12 sacks and 11 tackles for loss as a senior. A three-sport athlete, he also wrestled and played baseball.
PERSONAL: The son of Larry Pitts and Misty LaFevers, he plans to study business at Carson-Newman. Pitts competed in Future Founders of America competitions, placing fourth at the county level as a senior in high school.
