Bio

2023: Apppeared in 11 games with one start on Carson-Newman's interior defensive line. Wilson tallied 18 tackles with 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.  

2022: A 10-game starter on the defensive line for C-N, Wilson appeared in all 11 games up front for the Eagles. He made 24 stops, with two tackles for loss and a sack.  Wilson made multiple tackles in the final eight games of the year for C-N, topping out with a pair of four-tackle games against Mars Hill (Oct. 22) and UVA Wise (Nov. 5).  He made his sack at Emory & Henry (Oct. 29). 

2021: Appeared in all 10 of Carson-Newman's games with three starts at nose guard.  Wilson made 21 tackles with a tackle for loss.  He made a career-high seven tackles, including five solo in the Eagles' game at Barton (10/2). He also had a four-tackle day against Wingate (9/18).  

2020: Made one tackle, a sack and a tackle for loss in the Eagle's lone spring game against UVA Wise. 

PRIOR TO CARSON-NEWMAN: Came to C-N by way of Morehead State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Wilson was a tri-sport athlete at South Doyle, also competing with wrestling and track and field. He was a four-year started for Clark Duncan's crew, leading the team in his junior and senior seasons with five forced turnovers. He was tabbed a first-team All-Region pick three times while receiving first-team All-Knox County and Honorary Captain laurels in his senior year. Among the Cherokees, he was the Team Co-MVP as a senior and a three-time Ironman Award winner. He collected a total of 276 tackles from his sophomore to senior campaign, including 98 in his senior year. He added on three sacks in his sophomore and junior years with five as a senior. 

PERSONAL: Wilson was recruited by numerous schools, including UVa.-Wise, Tusculum, Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech, ETSU and Gardner-Webb. The son of Roslin and Jamaine Wilson, he plans to study business at Carson-Newman. He was on the Honor Roll in high school.
