Bio

2023: Climpson worked his way into the starting lineup as C-N's FOX end, appearing in 11 games with five starts up front defensively. He had 21 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss with a fumble recovery. Climpson topped out at four tackles, something he did four times against Tusculum (Oct. 7), UVA Wise (Nov. 4) and Catawba (Nov. 11).  He recovered his lone fumble against Mars Hill (Oct. 21).  

2022: Climpson appeared in six games on the defensive line with four tackles and a sack.  He collected his sack against Erskine (Oct. 15).  

2021: Did not appear in any games, redshirted. 

2020: Did not appear in the UVA Wise game during Carson-Newman's spring season. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Climpson closed his career with the Tigers with 136 tackles, 18 sacks and five forced fumbles. He saw time in Georgia vs. Florida All-Star game where he recorded a sack. He was voted Mundy’s Mill’s Defensive Lineman of the Year while receiving three Player of the Game honors and five Defensive Player of the Game accolades.

PERSONAL: The son of Quinetta and Corey Climpson, he plans to study exercise science at Carson-Newman.
