PRIOR TO CARSON-NEWMAN: Redshirted in 2021 at the University of Tennessee. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Talented two-way player and a consensus four-star athlete by 247Sports.com, Rivals.com and ESPN.com … Enrolled at Tennessee in July 2021 … The No. 101 player in the country and No. 2 athlete by Rivals.com … No. 172 ranked player in the ESPN 300 … Rated the No. 4 athlete and No. 9 player in the state of North Carolina by the 247Sports Composite … Named a 2021 Sports Illustrated All-America candidate … Named to the NCPreps Preseason All-State team as a junior in 2019 and a senior in 2020 … Was a North Carolina first-team all-state selection by MaxPreps in 2019 after leading Eastern Randolph to a 10-3 record and the second round of the Class 2A state playoffs … Starred on both sides of the ball for the Wildcats, finishing his junior season with 814 receiving yards, 396 rushing yards and 26 total touchdowns to go along with three interceptions while lining up at wide receiver, running back and defensive back … Has not played in 2020 after the North Carolina high school football season was postponed due to COVID-19 … Also played basketball in high school … Received offers from 16 schools … Committed to the Vols in May 2020 … Coached by Charles Arrington.
