2017: Bembry raked in the second All-SAC accolade of his career. The sophomore picked up 27 tackles with four stops behind the line of scrimmage and 1.5 sacks.  He had five tackles against North Greenville for his top statistical effort of the season.  Was a member of the conference's best defensive unit for total yards and rushing yards allowed and the league's second best scoring defense. 

HONORS:

2016: Redshirted after going down in the preseason with an ankle injury.  

2015: Bembry started all 12 games for Carson-Newman as a defensive tackle.  He produced 33 tackles in his freshman season with 13 stops behind the line of scrimmage and 3.5 sacks.  His 13 tackles for loss led the team and  were third in the South Atlantic Conference.  His 3.5 tackles for loss against Limestone (10/31) were a season high both for Bembry as an individual and Carson-Newman as a team.  He also had three tackles for loss against Catawba (9/19).  He turned in a career high five stops against Limestone. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Brian Bembry clocks in at 6-3, 255 pounds after starting on the defensive line for Dave Marino at Palmetto High School.  His senior year he collected 61 tackles.  More impressively, he forced 10 fumbles, made six  sacks, 31 tackles for loss and scored a defensive touchdown. He  was named his team's defensive MVP and most dominant player. A member of the all-state second  team in Florida's class 7A, Bembry was invited to the Florida North/South All-Star Game.  He also earned all-area honors and Elite 11 honors in his state at DT. 

PERSONAL: Bembry was offered scholarships by Kent State, Pitt, Wake Forest, FIU, and Purdue but says he chose Carson-Newman "for many reasons but  the main reason was because Carson-Newman always puts God first." He is the son of Gary and Sandy Bembry.  Brian plans to study nursing at Carson-Newman.
