Bio
2015: Appeared in 10 games for the Eagles. He carried the balll three times for 19 yards. He also made a tackle on special teams. All three of his carries came in the Eagles' win over Limestone (10/31).
2014: Did not appear in any games
2013: Redshirted
High School: A Pepperell High School product, Davenport was a team captain his senior year for coach Jeff Shiflett. He made the Rome News all-area second team his junior year. A linebacler in the Scott Coalition Bowl and a member of that all-star team. A nominee for the Floyd County Student Athlete Hall of Fame. As a senior, made the Rome News all-area first team and all-region first team. Picked up a Georgia High School Football Good Citizen Award while helping Pepperell to the state AA playoffs all four years of his high school career.
Personal: Academically, Davenport was named a PHS student of the month and was a student of the year nominee. Garnered a senior superlative for "Best All Around." Listed in the Who's Who among PHS students. The son of James and Tara Davenport. Plans to major in either sports medicine or education at Carson-Newman.
