2024-25: C-N’s sweet-shooting stretch five, ETSU transfer Braden Ilic averaged double-digits in his first season for C-N. Ilic buried 54 threes on the year at a 38 percent clip.  He scored double-digits 22 times on the season and produced a trio of 20-point efforts, topping out at 26 in a game at Limestone. Ilic finished the year averaging 11.9 points per game while shooting 50.2 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from three.  He also averaged 5.8 rebounds per game and 3.8 assists per game - second on the team.  Ilic had 11 games where he dolled out at least five assists, topping out at nine at Emory & Henry (Nov. 26).   He also produced a trio of double-doubles against Lake Superior State (Nov. 2), at Anderson (Nov. 30) and at Mars Hill (Jan. 20).  

PRIOR TO CARSON-NEWMAN

2023-24: Ilic appeared in 20 games and averaged 2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.  He shot 48.6 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three whil canning 7-of-13 free throws.  Ilic topped out at 11 points against VMI (Mar. 8) and five boards against King (Nov. 6).  He also scored in double digits when he had 10 against Tusculum (Dec. 15).  

2022-23: Has played in 23 games with two starts for the Bucs ... Averaged 2.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.6 minutes of play … Made first collegiate start vs. The Citadel (2/22) ... Scored six points on two made threes at UNCG (2/7) ... Netted a season-high seven points at Mercer (1/25) ... Scored five points vs. Samford (1/18) ... Had two points and one rebound vs. The Citadel (1/11) ...  Finished with four points, eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal vs. Mars Hill (11/30) ... Scored first collegiate points on a made three-pointer at Tennessee Tech (11/20) ... Made collegiate debut vs. Emory & Henry (11/7).

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Fifth-seeded Carson-Newman (21-10) reset its own South Atlantic Conference Tournament record for field goal efficiency, scorching the nets to the tune of 68.9 percent shooting, en route to a 104-95 win over fourth-seeded UVA Wise (18-11) in the quarterfinals of the SAC tournament Wednesday afternoon at the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center.
