Bio

2019-20: Anderson has tallied 574 points in his Carson-Newman career with a career high 23 plunked down against Mars Hill his junior year and earlier in his senior season against Coker. Anderson has one of two double-doubles for points and assists for Carson-Newman in the last 13 seasons. He ranks in the top 20 all-time in Carson-Newman basketball history in minutes played and assists with 229. He is tied for ninth for a single-game in school history for most free throws made, knocking down 13 at Mars Hill on Dec. 19, 2018.

2018-19: Anderson blossomed in his junior campaign to average 7.6 points, 2.3 assists and 1.7 rebounds per game.  He appeared in 27 games for C-N and started 14.  Anderson made 56 percent of his shots. He turned in seven double-digit scoring efforts, including the first 20 point game of his career at Mars Hill (12/19).  He had 23 against the Lions, including a 13-of-19 effort at the free throw line.  Anderson handed out at least five assists on three occasions, including a season-best six in a win over Fort Valley State (12/8).  He also reset a career high for field goals, knocking down seven in a win over Lees-McRae (11/14).

2017-18: Appeared in 26 games as a reserve guard for the Eagles, Anderson averaged 2.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. Anderson matched his career high at Johnson C. Smith (1/2) with a nine-point effort.  He also reset his career high for assists against Newberry (1/20) by handing out seven helpers.  He also had five assists against Catawba (1/6).

2016-17: Anderson averaged 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in his first season at Mossy Creek.  He appeared in all 30 games for the Eagles with two starts.  Anderson shot 47 percent from the field.  He made the lone three of his career against Lincoln Memorial.  Anderson narrowly missed out on having a double-digit scoring effort to his credit as a freshman.  He topped out at nine points twice in back-to-back games against Newberry (12-3) and Queens (12-10).  He had five games where he grabbed at least five rebounds.

HIGH SCHOOL: Reece Anderson stuffed the stat sheet for coach Hollis Bethea at Douglas County High School with 10.3 points, 3.3 boards, 6.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game with the Tigers.   He was an All-Region selection for region 3-AAAAAA and helped the Tigers to the state playoffs.  He was named the region's defensive player of the year.

PERSONAL: The son of Laurie and Raymond Anderson, he plans to study accounting at Carson-Newman.
