Bio

2018-19: Appeared in all 29 games for Carson-Newman as a sophomore with 11 starts. He averaged 6.2 points per game and established himself as one of the Eagles' best three-point shooters.  He finished the year shooting 44.1 percent from the field and 40 percent from three. He knocked down 36-of-90 triples. His top effort came in a loss to No. 9 Queens (1/12) when he buried 4-of-6 threes and scored a career-high 16 points.  He had eight double-digit scoring efforts on the year and six games where he knocked down at least three triples.  He turned in back-to-back double digit scoring days twice, against Newberry (1/19) and Johnson C. Smith (1/21) with 13 and 11-point outings, respectively. He did it later in the year with three straight against Anderson (2/13), Catawba (2/16) and Tusculum (2/20), pouring in 10, 14 and 12, respectively.

2017-18: Appeared in only 11 games but made a splash late in his freshman year for the Eagles. Rogers averaged 4.4 points per game, but shot 50 percent from beyond the arc (12-of-24).  Rogers only appeared in eight of the Eagles' first 28 games before logging at least 10 minutes in Carson-Newman's final four games. His coming out party came against Wingate (2-24) when he logged a career-high 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from distance in a career-best 19 minutes. Rogers had scored 20 points to that point in his freshman season when he erupted on the Bulldogs.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Rogers makes his way to Mossy Creek from Farragut High School where he played for Chris Cool.  As a senior, he led his team in points and free throw percentage.  He averaged 21.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while knocking down 85 percent of his free throw tries.  He finished his high school career with 1,175 career points. As a senior, he was named  all-district, second team All-PrepXtra and first team All-KIL.

PERSONAL: The son of Kathi and Greg Rogers, he plans to study business at Carson-Newman.
