* TSWA Player of the Week - March 4, 2020

2020 (Sophomore): Led the SAC in three categories - WHIP (0.78) good for 21st in D2, Hits per nine innings (3.38), seventh in the country and ERA (1.13), 29th in the nation... Tied for the team lead with 11 appearances to rank 16th nationally... Posted 11.25 strikeouts per nine innings, third in the league, and won three games, fourth in the SAC... Over 11 outings, Shaver struck out 40 in 32 innings going 3-0 with a save... Fanned at least three batters six times... Opened the year by collecting the win after 1 2/3 innings of shuout baseball... Over three flawless innings, Shaver struck out five to take home the save on Feb. 8 versus West Liberty... In his lone start of the year, Shaver punched out a career-high 12 over eight scoreless innings giving up two hits and three walks in a victory to earn TSWA Player of the Week honors... Took home the win at Lincoln Memorial giving up two hits over 6 2/3 scoreless innings on March 8... Eight of his 11 outings of the year netted a scoreless effort finishing the season with a scoreless innings streak of 15 2/3 innings in his last three games.

2019 (Freshman): In a year cut short due to injury, he went 1-1 with a 6.97 ERA in six outings... Earned first-career win in second-career outing at King on Feb. 14 throwing 5 1/3 innings allowing four earned runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five in a 9-5 C-N win on the road...Yielded just one hit over 4 2/3 innings at Belmont Abbey on Feb. 27 punching out four batters in a scoreless start pacing a 7-3 win in a game where the Eagles allowed just two hits.

KODAK, Tenn. – Despite falling behind 4-1 and stranding a season-high 13 men on base, fifth-seeded Carson-Newman made big plays in all three phases to topple second-seeded Tusculum 8-6 in comeback fashion Friday at Smokies Stadium in the Pilot Flying J South Atlantic Conference Baseball Championships.
