2010 Food Lion SAC Baseball Tournament in Rain Delay until Sunday Morning
FOREST CITY, N.C. The 2010 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament has been postponed due to heavy rains in the western North Carolina area until Sunday morning. No. 2 Mars Hill College and No. 5 Carson-Newman College will resume play in an elimination game at 9 a.m. at McNair Field on Sunday morning.

No. 2 Mars Hill College and No. 5 Carson-Newman College will resume play in an elimination game at 9 a.m. at McNair Field on Sunday morning.
No. 3 Catawba College and No. 5 Lincoln Memorial will take the field 30 minutes after the completion of C-N/MHC. Catawba is the tournament's only remaining unbeaten team, while LMU advanced by eliminating Tusculum College, 5-1, on Saturday afternoon.
The tournament was stopped before the first pitch of game on the Eagles and the Lions, and the decision to push the games back a day was made later Saturday evening.
The Carson-Newman/Mars Hill winner will face Catawba in Game 10 of the SAC Tournament on Sunday afternoon. A Game 11, a fourth Sunday contest, could take place Sunday afternoon depending on the outcome of the Catawba/LMU matchup.
