The Carson-Newman cross country team wrapped up its regular season schedule by placing two runners in the top-20 individual standings on its way to a women’s fifth and men’s sixth place finish at the Fast Cats Classic in Owensboro, K.Y. on Saturday.
In a meet that showcased a number of the nations’ most talented runners, the Carson-Newman cross country team held its own, as the women placed 14th and the men finished 16th in their respected running divisions at the Greater Louisville Classic Meet this weekend in Kentucky.
Priscah Jemeli (Eldorett, Kenya) records her first career win as a Carson-Newman Eagle as both the men and women’s team recorded top-two finishes at the Maryville Duel Meet Saturday morning.
The Carson-Newman cross country runners will take part in the annual Blue/Orange intrasquad meet this Saturday at Green Farm in preparation for the regular season.
