Bio
2025: Indoor - Set new 60m PR at his opening meet of the season, the Finn Pincus Invitational hosted by Roanoke College, Patten set a time of 6.81 en route to winning the event. Patten also placed second in the 60m hurdles at the same meet with a time of 8.16. He would later set his PR in the 60m hurdles, 8.04 seconds, at the Virginia Tech Challenge to take second place. At the SAC Indoor Championships, he set the fastest time and a Carson-Newman record in the 60m hurdles preliminaries at 8.11 seconds, however, he did not set a time in the finals. He also finished eighth in the 60m.
Outdoor - Started the season with an eight-place finish in the 110m hurdles at the Lee University Invitational. The next week, he finished in third at the King University Invitational in the 100m at 10.63 seconds. He would set his 100m PR at the Tennessee Invite at 10.46 seconds. He would qualify for the SAC Outdoor Championships, but did not advance to the finals.
Patten was a part of the 4x100m relay team that advanced to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The team took third at the Tennessee Invite, second at the App State Open and took gold at the SAC Outdoor Championship with a time of 39.78 seconds. He ran in the preliminary round at NCAAs, and the team would finish in fifth in the finals.
2024: Indoor - Placed second in the 60-meters at the Bast-Cregger Multi Invitational. Placed third in the 60-meter hurdle at the SAC Championships with a time of 8.13.
Outdoor - 200m with a time of 22.04 at LR Bears Open. Placed fifth at SAC Championships in 110-meter hurdles with a personal best of 15.06 in preliminaries. 100m time of 10.88 at LR Last Chance Meet #2. Was part of 4x100m team that placed first in three meets.
