Bio
2025: Indoor - Set a PR in the 3000m at the Liberty Open with a time of 9:08.74. At the SAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, he set his PR in the mile with a 4:30.24, he also placed ninth in the distance medley relay with a 10:54.60.
Outdoor - Started the year with a PR in the Lee University Invitational in the 1500m with a time of 4:04.84. In the SAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, he set his PR in the 800m, clocking a 1:54.30.
2024: Indoor - Placed 15th at VMI Winter Classic setting a PR in the mile with a time of 4:38.80.
Outdoor - Had best performance of the year at UNC-Asheville Bulldog Invite setting PRs in the javelin throw and 800-meter with a javelin distance of 36.46m and a 800 time of 1:59.15.
2023: Outdoor - Burkett placed 15th in the 1,500 at the Trojan Opener in 4:22.18. He ran a personal best in the event during the Electric City Invitational in 4:20.75. At the LR Bears Open, Burkett snagged another personal record in the 800 in 2:05.50. He placed 21st in the javelin throw at the 2023 SAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a personal best 32.91-meter performance.
