2023: Indoor - Jones contributed to a 10th-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay during the Bast Cregger-Multi Invitational. The team finished in 3:37.16. He finished 12th in the 60 dash preliminaries at the 2023 SAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in 6.95 seconds.
Outdoor - At the Trojan Opener, Jones contributed to a fourth-place finish in the men's 4x100-meter relay where the Eagles ran the event in 41.64. He grabbed seventh in the 100 in 10.71. Jones ran a personal best in the 100-meter dash at the Lee University Invitational in 10.56 where he placed fourth in the event. He placed seventh in the 100 in 10.94 at the Tennessee Invite. Jones contributed to a winning 4x100 relay at the Georgia Tech Invitational. The quartet grabbed gold in 39.66. His 4x100 team placed second at the 2023 SAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 39.87. Jones travelled to the NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships with the 4x100 team. The Eagles placed second in 39.33, giving Jones All-American status in the event.
