Bio
High School – Blackmon was top-10 in the state for the 110 meter hurdles his senior year of high school. With the Pirates he won the Cape conference championship in the event twice and was a two-time district champion. He also placed third in the state in the event. Also played football in high school and intends to do so at Carson-Newman.
Personal: Son of Matthew Blackmon Sr. Was named homecoming king for Palm Bay Magnet High School. Chose Carson-Newman over Livingstone, Tusculum and Louisiana Tech. Intends to major in exercise science.
