Lady Eagles Overwhelm North Georgia, 8-1

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman Lady Eagles rode a sweep in doubles to an 8-1 win over visiting North Georgia on Sunday morning in Jefferson City.
With the win, the Lady Eagles stretch their win streak to five-straight matches. C-N is now 9-2 overall.
Senior Emily Sorah (Bristol, Tenn.) and freshman Kylie Elliott (Maryville, Tenn.) fought off North Georgia's Meredith Cash and Ashley Jordan to win at No. 2 doubles, 9-7.
Freshman Missy Sneed (Kingsport, Tenn.) and sophomore Charli Thomas (Norman, Okla.) partnered to win at No. 3 doubles to give the Lady Eagles the 3-0 lead.
Sorah, Taryn Cappadonna (Kennesaw, Ga.), Amanda Bartlett (Powder Springs, Ga.), and Elizabeth Sneed (Kingsport, Tenn.) all cruised in their singles matches as C-N put away the Saints.
C-N returns to action on April 14 against Union College.
