JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. Carson-Newman volleyball has signed one recruit during the early signing period. Lindsey Bryant will don the orange and blue of the Lady Eagles next fall, Head Volleyball Coach Shannon Miney announced today.

Carson-Newman senior setter Stephanie Cutter was selected as an honorable mention All-Southeast Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) after a strong senior season. The senior capped off an impressive career, leading the Lady Eagles to their first-ever NCAA Division II tournament win on Nov. 19 over Catawba, and a 23-10 overall record with a 12-4 mark in South Atlantic Conference play.

LEXINGTON, Ky. Carson-Newman senior setter Stephanie Cutter was selected as an honorable mention All-Southeast Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) after a strong senior season. The senior capped off an impressive career, leading the Lady Eagles to their first-ever NCAA Division II tournament win on Nov. 19 over Catawba, and a 23-10 overall record with a 12-4 mark in South Atlantic Conference play.

WINGATE, N.C. Carson-Newman saw two of its players named to the All-Southeast Region Tournament Team after advancing to the second round of the 2009 NCAA Division II Tournament. Senior outside hitter Jessica Schachleiter (Cincinnati, Ohio) and junior outside hitter Carly Mozgai (Greensboro, N.C.) took home all-tournament honors as the Lady Eagles progressed to the round of 32 for the first time in school history.

INDIANAPOLIS The Carson-Newman College Volleyball Team (22-9) has received the fourth seed for the 2009 NCAA Division II Southeast Region Tournament, NCAA officials announced Sunday night. The Lady Eagles will take on the Lady Catawba Indians of Catawba College on Friday in the region quarterfinal match.
