JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman Eagles showdown tonight with Peach Belt Conference-foe Georgia College and State University will be broadcast tonight on WMTN-AM 1300 of Morristown, Tenn.
The Voice of the Eagles, Zeke Beam, will call the play-by-play beginning at approximately 7:45 p.m. The Carson-Newman/Georgia College and State game immediately follows Game 1 of the Tusculum Classic between the host Tusculum Pioneers and West Alabama.
Carson-Newman (2-2) will play on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., less than 24 hours later, against West Alabama in Game 3 of the tournament. Saturday's game will not be broadcast.
The weekend could mark career win No. 300 for Eagle head coach Dale Clayton. In his 21st season, Clayton has 298 career wins.
