Eagles Picked Fourth In SAC Preseason Poll

ROCK HILL, SC-- The Carson-Newman Eagles have been picked to finish fourth in the preseason South Atlantic Conference poll selected by the league's head coaches.

Carson-Newman received 36 points and Scott Williams, who was one of the SAC's top scoeres last season with 14.9 points per game, was named preseason All-Conference second team.

The Eagles begin the 2007-2008 season on Friday, November 2 with an exhibition at Georgia Tech. C-N opens the regular season on Tuesday, November 20 versus North Georgia at Holt Fieldhouse.
