C-N Players Competing In Knoxville Summer League

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.-- Carson-Newman basketball will be well represented in the Pilot Rocky Top Summer League that begins play tonight at Bearden High School in Knoxville.
Current Eagles Scott Williams, Andy Tipton, and Jordan Dixon, along with C-N signees Cameron Sharp, Zach Hyatte, Adam Plavich, Justin Walker, and Chauncey Thompson, will compete against some of the best players in east Tennessee including University of Tennessee players Chris Lofton and Ramar Smith.
"I am very excited about the opportunity for our players to participate in the Pilot Summer League," head coach Dale Clayton said. "It is great for them to test themselves against some outstanding Division I players. We have a very competitive group playing in the league and I know they will challenge themselves to be as competitive as possible."
Pilot League games will be played twice a week until July 16.
