Carson-Newman Ninth in NCAA Division II Head-to-Head Standings
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Carson-Newman men's golf team is ranked
ninth among NCAA Division II schools in head-to-head standings,
according to golfstat.com.
The Eagles have a record of 139-10 against Division II teams.
C-N has had a strong start to the 2009-10 campaign. The Eagles
finished third in the Honda of Columbia Fall Classic to begin the
season and then claimed sixth place in the Laker Invitational,
which was loaded with nationally ranked teams.
The Eagles, who return to the course on Oct. 5 in the Cougar
Invitational at Green Island Country Club in Columbus, Ga., have
posted a 7-6 record against top 25 teams and have an adjusted
scoring average of 71.8.
Golfstat Inc. is a company hired by the NCAA to administer the
computer rating used by the NCAA Championship selection committees
for all divisions of NCAA men's and women's golf.
