Eagles add four more Tennessee products to football signing class

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman Eagles have signed four more Tennessee products to their 2009 signing class.
C-N has now signed a total of 41 players, including 31 from the state of Tennessee.
The Eagles begin spring practice next week, with the first workout coming on Monday at 3:45 p.m. in Burke-Tarr Stadium.

Hakeem Worthen
DL - 6'5 - 300 - Knoxville, Tenn./South Doyle
Played on the defensive line at South Doyle High School...Earned Tennessee Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State and All-Region 3-4A honors...Named Tennessee-Kentucky Border Bowl All-Star...Recorded 108 tackles, including 21 for a loss and 10 sacks in 2008.
Kyle Long
OL - 6'0 - 270 - Englewood, Tenn./McMinn Central
Played on the offensive line at McMinn Central High School...Earned Tennessee Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State, Murphy Fair Class 3A All-State, All-Region 3-3A and All-Academic honors...Led McMinn Central to a 9-2 record and a berth in the Class 3A state playoffs in 2008.
Zack Fleming
LB/LS - 6'1 - 225 - Kingsport, Tenn./Dobyns-Bennett
Named All-Big East Defensive Player of the Year in 2008...Finished with eight tackles for loss and four sacks...Named first team All-State by the Tennessee Football Coaches Association...Played in the Tennessee-Kentucky Border Bowl All-Star Game...Finished career with over 150 tackles.
