Lady Eagles Ranked 21st in Final NFCA Poll
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- The Carson-Newman softball team is ranked 21st in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll, officials announced Monday.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- The Carson-Newman softball team is ranked 21st in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll, officials announced Monday.
The Lady Eagles went 32-17 in 2009 and won their ninth South Atlantic Conference Tournament title. C-N advanced to the NCAA Division II Softball Southeast Super Regional, where it lost two games to North Georgia.
NCAA Division II champion Lock Haven is a unanimous choice for the top spot in the poll after defeating Alabama-Huntsville 8-0 in the championship game.
Alabama-Huntsville is ranked second in the poll, followed by North Georgia, Angelo State and Winona State.
C-N is the lone SAC team in the poll, with Lenoir-Rhyne being the only other SAC team that received votes.
