The Eagles fell behind 44-14 at the half and were unable cut into Tennessee Tech's lead during the final 20 minutes.
Junior Antonio Sullivan (Louisville, Ky.) paced C-N with 14 points and five rebounds, while freshman Ishmael Sanders (Cleveland, Tenn.) netted 12 points. Junior John Holleman (Petersburg, Va.) added seven points and five rebounds in the loss.
Four Golden Eagles finished the contest in double figures in scoring led by 15 points from Chase Dunn. Zach Bailey tossed in 13 points, while Liam McMorrow and Jud Dillard finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
C-N shot just 21 percent (12-of-57) from the floor on the night, while Tennessee Tech scored at a 58 percent clip (35-of-60). The Golden Eagles also held a 51-30 advantage in rebounds. Both teams had trouble in the turnover department, as C-N finished with 22 and Tennessee Tech had 19.
The Eagles will close out their exhibition slate on Monday at Tennessee State. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
