Jefferson City, TN – Two Carson-Newman Lady Eagle golfers have received National Golf Coaches Association's All-American Scholar accolades.
Both Melanie Manis and Louise McGillivray received the award for keeping a cumulative grade point average above 3.5.
"I am very proud of Melanie and Louise for receiving this honor," Head Women's Golf coach Mandie Moore said. "They have both made academics their number one priority at Carson-Newman and were also large contributors to our golf success this past year. We will miss them this year but wish them well in their future endeavors."
A biology major at Carson-Newman, Manis has moved on to pharmacy school.
Carson-Newman landed the most golfers on the list of any school in the South Atlantic Conference outside of Tusculum.
More than 130 golfers from Division II were honored, while the organization presented the award to 603 golfers across all three of the NCAA's divisions.
