LAST SCHOOL: Attended Chowan University in Murfreesboro, N.C. Played in nine games as a freshman where he recorded 32 total tackles (20 solo, 12 ast.). Intercepted one pass and returned it 10 yards, also had four pass break-ups.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Olympic High School in Charlotte, N.C., where he was coached by Barry Shuford. Was All-Conference and the team's best defensive back.
PERSONAL: Son of Eugenia Hooks. Brother Denzel Hooks plays football at Chowan University. Plans to major in physical education at Carson-Newman.
