Blue and Orange World Series-Opening Game Friday

The Big Orange will take on the Blue Chips in a best of five world series.  Games 1, 3, and 5 will be played with American League rules.  Games 2 and 4 under National League Rules.  The losing team of the best of five series will have to paint the outfield wall and all of the chain link fencing.  All five games will be played.  The team with the least amount of runs scored for all five games will have a weekend of field and campus cleanup.

The Blue Chips will be coached by Mason Guymon.  Guymon, "Very excited about the series,  I like our odds of winning.  I have never lost a game to Thigpen is another why I am confident our team will win"

Big Orange coach Robby Thigpen is also confident in his club "We are happy being the underdog, they feel like they have more talent on their side."

Game 1 pitchers are Alex Britt for the Blue Chips and Chris Armstrong for the Big Orange.  Thigpen,"Should be a low scoring, quick game.  Can't afford to make any mistakes"

Game 2 will be played Saturday at 12:00, Sunday at 1:00, Monday at 1:00 and Tuesday TBA at Jefferson County HS.
