Eagles Add Four For Next Year

Dustin Dunagen-6'4 225, RHP from an outstanding JUCO program, Chattachoochee Valley CC.  Coached by Adam Thomas and former Eagle player and pitching coach Matt Ward.  Hard throwing, physical player, Dustin pitched in 24 innings last spring. 

"Dustin can be a weekend guy for us next year.  He is surrounded by outstanding players and coaches, no doubt he will be prepared when he comes in next year.  Matt Ward is one of the top pitching coaches around, so mentally, physically and mechanically he will educated"

Marcus Watson-6'4 200 from Sevier County HS, coached by Lance Traywick.  Marcus was selected All-District and Team MVP following his Junior year.  He hit .442 with 31 RBI's and 10 doubles.  Along with his accomplishements at the plate, Watson was 4-2 on the mound.  Marcus is the younger brother of current Eagle pitcher, Lucas Watson.

"Great makeup on and off the field.  Knows our system and expectations better then anyone, having a brother playing here.  He is capable of pitching and playing a position for us"

James Jinnette-5'11 170 from Pigeon Forge HS, coached by Mike Guinn.  James was selected All-District last spring after hitting .400 with 24 RBI's and 10 SB.  On the mound, he went 3-1 with a 1.74 ERA. 

"Very well coached player.  He has the ablitity to play any infield position for us next year.  Has played in a winning program and knows what it takes to compete and win."

Blake Ballinger-6'1 165 from Jefferson County HS, coached by Josh Warner.

"Blake has been a part of our camps and summer/fall HS tournaments at CN for a long time.  He is a smart player who works extremely hard.  Very familiar with how we teach and do things, so he will be able to make a easy transition to college."

"All of four of these players play for a winning program and are well-coached.  They all know what hard work is and are not afraid of it.  We look forward to having these young men join our family next fall", Coach Griffin.
