Bridgewater Selected Third Overall Pick in Frontier League Draft

Austin Bridgewater was selected in the first round (third overall) by the Florence Freedom in the Frontier League.  The Frontier League is an independant professional baseball league with twelve teams.  This past spring Bridgewater was the ace of the staff for the Eagles, going 4-7 overall with thirteen games started.  He completed three games, throwing 85 innings on the year, and finishing with a 4.32 ERA.  Opposing hitters hit .244 against him.  In 2010, Bridgewater was selected 2nd team All-Conference, after finishing with a 5-1 record and a ERA of 4.32.
