Bio
2024-25: Finished his senior year with an 8-3 mark in singles with a 4-1 record in SAC meetings at the No. 1 spot. Put together a 16-6 doubles record with Paul Gayk, including a 12-1 mark in the No. 2 spot. Van Dalen was named second-team All-SAC in singles and doubles. Academically, he was honored as a CSC Academic All-American and All-District member, becoming the second C-N men's tennis player to earn this distinction, and the first in nearly 20 years. He was also awarded the SAC Elite 23 award for men's tennis, which recognizes the athlete with the highest GPA at the end of the conference's championship event.
2023-24: Posted a 17-8 overall record in singles with an 11-1 mark in SAC play, finishing his season on a ten-match win streak at the No. 1 spot. Accumulated a 10-8 doubles record in the No. 1 doubles position. Earned first-team All-SAC honors in singles and third-team All-SAC in doubles.
2022-2023: Finished the season with a 12-7 record, including an 8-3 record in the SAC, a 3-3 record at the No. 1 spot, and a 9-4 record at the No. 2 spot. Earned a 12-5 record in doubles matches, with a 10-2 record in the SAC.
2021-2022: Finished the season with a singles record of 20-12, with a record of 12-10 at the no. 1 position. Held a record of 8-2 in tournament play, and 8-4 in SAC competitions. Finished with a record of 14-13 in doubles matches, holding a 9-11 record in the no. 3 position, a record of 5-5 in SAC competitions, and a 5-2 record in tournament play.
