Eagles Jump to 20th in AFCA Poll
WACO, Tex. The Carson-Newman Eagles jumped five spots to No. 20 in this weeks American Football Coaches Association Division II Poll. Carson-Newman (6-2, 4-0 SAC) won its sixth-straight game on Saturday night, rallying for a 17-13 win at Lenoir-Rhyne behind 14 fourth-quarter points. C-N is the lone South Atlantic Conference school in the poll. Wingate (N.C.) is listed in receiving votes.

Division II Poll.
Carson-Newman (6-2, 4-0 SAC) won its sixth-straight game on
Saturday night, rallying for a 17-13 win at Lenoir-Rhyne behind 14
fourth-quarter points.
C-N is the lone South Atlantic Conference school in the poll.
Wingate (N.C.) is listed in receiving votes.
North Alabama, who beat the Eagles back in September, takes over
the No. 1 spot, giving the poll a different top team for the third
consecutive week.
Carson-Newman remains third in the NCAA Super Regional II rankings,
trailing UNA and Albany St. (Ga.), both of whom won on
Saturday.
The Eagles host Brevard on Saturday. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. in
Jefferson City.
