INDIANAPOLIS – Carson-Newman senior Erica Ray (Maryville, Tenn.) has earned a spot as an individual qualifier to play in the 2012 NCAA Division Women's Golf Super Regional, held May 6-8 in Pace, Fla. at Stonebrook Golf Club.
Ray qualified as one of the region's top four individuals not on one the tournament's nine qualifying teams.
The senior was a second team All-South Atlantic Conference selection in her final season at C-N. Ray finished third at the Flagler Fall Slam in late October against a field that included a number of the nation's Top 10 teams. She added a 10th place finish at the Agnes McAmis Memorial in early April.
Ray is joined by Armstrong Atlantic State's Jenna Birch, Columbus State's Kimesha Anthony, and Mount Olive's Valentina Urquiola.
