Sinard Receives Honorable Mention NGCA All-America Honors
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — Carson-Newman senior Sarah Jane Sinard (White Pine, Tenn.) has been named a honorable mention National Golf Coaches Association Women's All-America recipient, NGCA officials announced in May.
Sinard, who helped lead the Lady Eagles to the program's first-ever NCAA Division II South Regional Tournament appearance this season, is the first C-N women's golfer to earn All-America honors.
Sinard was named South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Player of the Year after a stellar senior campaign. She opened the season with wins in the Lady Falcon/McNairy Invitational and the Elite Linen Service Inc. Invitational and compiled seven top-five finishes on the year. Her scoring average of 76.8 ranked second in the conference.
The NGCA All-American teams are selected by the NGCA Awards Committee. The NGCA is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches.
