JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman freshman Tatum Burstrom (Maryville, Tenn.) earned South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman Team honors for her play during her freshman season as a Lady Eagle, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

NEWBERRY, S.C. – The fifth-seeded Carson-Newman Lady Eagles basketball team (15-11, 9-9 South Atlantic Conference) fell in the quarterfinals of the 2013 Food Lion SAC Women’s Basketball Championship to the fourth-seeded Newberry Wolves (20-9, 11-7 South Atlantic Conference) by a 69-58 score at Eleazer Arena on Wednesday night.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The fifth-seeded Carson-Newman Lady Eagles basketball team (15-10, 9-9 South Atlantic Conference) will begin its play in the 2013 Food Lion SAC Women’s Basketball Championship by facing the fourth-seeded Newberry Wolves (19-9, 11-7 South Atlantic Conference) in the tournament quarterfinals at Newberry’s Eleazer Arena on Wednesday March 6 at 7 p.m.
