JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Mars Hill College’s Lucas Simm and Enrico Patriarca each won twice as the Lions topped Carson-Newman in South Atlantic Conference action, 5-2, in Jefferson City on Friday afternoon. With the win, Mars Hill moves to 5-4 in SAC play and 7-8 overall. The Eagles fall to 1-8 in league play and 4-14 overall.

Williamsburg, Ky. - On the men's side, the Eagles lost two tightly contested matches at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and were not able to regain the momentum as the Eagles also dropped three of the six singles matches in a 5-4 loss to Cumberlands on Saturday afternoon.

Eagles pick up first SAC win; Top L-R, 6-3
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman Eagles won at the bottom four singles spots to put away visiting Lenoir-Rhyne, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon at the C-N Tennis Complex. The win marks the Eagles’ first in the South Atlantic Conference this season. The Eagles built some momentum by winning two of the three doubles matches compliments of the No. 2 team of Paul Birdsong (Woodstock, Ga.) and Adriano Kira (Brazil) and the No. 3 duo of Derek Holdway ( Woodstock, Ga.) and Dalton Moore (Gate City, Va.).

Eagles Close Out Fall Season at Cumberlands Tennis Tournament
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — The Carson-Newman College Men's Tennis team closed out their fall season at the Cumberlands Fall Tennis Tournament held at the University of the Cumberlands. The Eagles were one of six squads, along with the University of the Cumberlands, Campbellsville University, Lincoln Memorial University, Covenant College and Lindsey Wilson College, to compete in the tournament on Oct. 2.
