JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman’s soccer teams will be one of the first three American institutions to partner with GPSports – a biometrics and GPS-based technology that will enable Carson-Newman soccer’s coaching staff to better train its athletes.
Moodie announces summer soccer clinic and camp dates

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman men’s soccer program has signed six players for its 2013 signing class, announced by head coach Richard Moodie on Monday. Three of the six signees are from the state of Tennessee, and Moodie believes this signing class will add talent to the 2013 Eagles roster.
Dafydd named to All-Southeast Region Third Team

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman men’s soccer junior defender Trystan Dafydd (Y Felinheli, Gwyned Wales) was named to the 2012 NSCAA Division II Men All-Southeast Region Third Team, announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America earlier this week. Dafydd, in his first season in a Carson-Newman uniform, started all 17 matches at defender picking up one assist and anchoring the Eagles’ back line of defense.
Eagles fall to LMU 1-0 in overtime in SAC Semifinals

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The second-seeded Carson-Newman Eagles men’s soccer team fell to the third-seeded Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters in overtime 1-0 in the semifinals of the 2012 Food Lion SAC Soccer Championship at Mancester Meadows on Friday night. The match was scoreless through regulation, forcing overtime where LMU would pick up a golden goal in the 99th minute from Diego Deschmap on an assist by Mario Pinto to end Carson-Newman’s conference tournament run.
