Eagles 13th after 18 Holes at Rendleman Invitational
SALISBURY, N.C. The Carson-Newman Eagles are in 13th place after the first round of the 2010 Richard Rendleman Invitational played Monday at the Country Club of Salisbury.
The Eagles combined to fire a 302 (+14) to finish ahead of two South Atlantic Conference schools. Lander University leads the tournament at 5-under par (283).

As a team, the Eagles are tied for fourth with South Carolina-Aiken at 593, but lead SAC rivals Newberry (604) and Wingate (609).

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Carson-Newman's Liam Ashby (Dublin, Ireland) carded a 71 on day two for a two-day 143 (-1) to finish sixth overall at the Queens Invitational played Tuesday at the TPC Sawgrass in Jacksonville, Fla.
As a team, the Eagles finished 12th, ahead of South Atlantic Conference foes Wingate, Catawba, and Tusculum. C-N finished at 31-over as a team, after a two-day 607 (307-300).
