      <title>Carson-Newman's Van Bruggen named CUATC&#x2019;s 2012 Head Athletic Trainer of the Year</title>

      <description>JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. &#x2013; Carson-Newman head athletic trainer Mike Van Bruggen has been named the 2012 Head Athletic Trainer of the Year for NCAA Division II schools. The award is given by the College &amp; University Athletic Trainers Committee (CUATC) of the National Athletic Trainers&#x2019; Association (NATA).&#xD;
&#xD;
Van Bruggen is in his 12th year as Carson-Newman&#x2019;s Head Athletic Trainer. He primarily serves as athletic trainer for C-N&#x2019;s football and softball teams, while overseeing all aspects of health care for C-N's 450 student-athletes in 16 sports.</description>
