JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman football team
will hold its annual Orange and Blue Game Spring Game on Saturday
afternoon in Jefferson City.
Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. in Burke-Tarr Stadium.
The Eagles have battled a through a handful of snows, coaching
clinics, and next week, spring break, to try and wrap up their
“spring” workouts.
“This is one of the most hectic spring schedules we’ve
had since I’ve been here,” Eagle head coach Ken Sparks
said. “It seems like its snowed half the time we’ve
been outside, and when you’re as thin as we are in some
places because of graduating seniors and injuries, I expected us to
be a little up and down, but this group has been pretty mature
about practicing.”
The Eagles finished the 2009 season 11-3, claiming the South
Atlantic Conference title and a berth in the NCAA Division II
National Semifinals.
