Orange Shores Take Game 2-Up 2-0 in Series
Orange Shores score three runs in top of the 6th to take game two of the series, winning 5-1.
The Shores score three runs in the top of 6th to take game 2 of the Orange and Blue Series. The Orange Shores have a 2-0 lead in the series.
Kyle Koeneman (3-3 with 2 runs scored), led off the top of 6th with a single. Back to back singles by Zach Long and Evan Kirkpatrick would load the bases for the Orange Shores. After a wild pitch, Corey Moser infield single allowed two runs to score and give the Shores all they would need.
Brandon Timmerman was the winning pitcher, throwing four innings allowing only one earned run. Brad Dotson, Marc Ulloa and Ryan Fillers threw one inning a piece to shut down the Blue Chips offense.
The Blue Chips scored first in the bottom of the third on a single by pitcher Robby Thigpen, scoring Cody Fox who started the inning with a walk. He advanced on a sac bunt by Gooch Greer.
The Shores answered back in the top of the fourth with a run on a throwing error. Kyle Koeneman singled with one out, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on the infield error with two outs.
Joe Tipton delivered a pinch hit single up the middle with two outs to drive in Koeneman in the top of the 5th, to give the Shores the lead 2-1.
