WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- Carson-Newman women's track athletes Aubrey Morris (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Cara Hawkins (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) and Catelyn Dake (Knoxville, Tenn.) each broke their own school records in their respective events on Saturday at the University of the Cumberlands Invitational.

Morris won the 5,000 meter run, besting her old mark she set last week by 20 seconds. Morris has put together an incredible string of runs as she has won and set a record in every individual event in which she has participated in this season.

Hawkins, who set the school record in the 3,000 meter steeple chase last week, claimed first place in the same event on Saturday and improved on her record by five seconds. Dake won the 400 meter dash, breaking her old school record that she set on April 21, 2007.

The Lady Eagles 4 x 800 relay team of Hawkins, Dake, Morris and Tiffany Winchell (Dandridge, Tenn.) captured second place.

Brittany Sealey (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Charlita Russell (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Chelsie Woods (Bristol, Va.) and Markia Johnson (Chattanooga, Tenn.) teamed up to finish fourth in the 4 x 100 relay, while Hawkins, Jen Wiley (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.), Dake and Kellan Clay (Jefferson City, Tenn.) placed fourth in the 4 x 400 relay.

Kelsey Fleck (Celina, Ohio) claimed second place in the high jump and fifth place in the shot put. Sealey finished seventh in the 100 meter dash, while Russell (100 meter dash), Wiley (400 meter dash) and Woods (long jumped) each finished in eighth place in their respective events.

On the men's side, Antonio Gomez (Brewton, Ala.) and Chris Patton (Johnson City, Tenn.) earned sixth and seventh place, respectively, in the long jump.

The men's team will travel to Richmond, Ky., on Friday to compete in the Eastern Kentucky Open, while the women's team will be competing in the Volunteer Track Classic on Friday and Saturday on the campus of the University of Tennessee.
